Loctite 272 Thread Locker

Loctite 272 Thread Locker is a red, medium-viscosity adhesive based on methacrylate, offering high strength. It is specially formulated for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners and can withstand temperatures up to 450°F (232°C). This anaerobic adhesive cures in the absence of air between closely fitting metal surfaces, preventing loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include locking and sealing large bolts and studs. It can tolerate minor contamination from industrial oils and is suitable for use with all metal fasteners.
